The contract is ratified - now we get to start the process of waiting for all the contingencies to go past. The sale is contingent on appraisal at the sales price, that the buyers get financing, that inspection is satisfactory, and that they agree to the homeowner’s covenants. We’re not too worried about the first two, and as far as Brian knows his house is in good shape, but he never had an inspection when he bought, so he doesn’t know for sure.

Then we get to start the process of moving and putting stuff in storage until we find a new place. However, we can start looking again since we’ve got the ratified contract. Closing is set for August 15.
