Along with everyone else in my neighborhood - I’ll be putting my house on the market as soon as I can get it ready to sell - ie, the fence is replaced and the backyard is cleaned up. I’d like to replace the shower in the master bath, but it’s not as important as the fence, and I’d like to replace the countertops in the kitchen, but that’s also not a “must”.
Brian’s coming over on Tuesday to help me carry stuff out to the bulk trash pickup - primarily my couch and my old desk that’s been languishing in my basement for a while. I’m not offering the couch to anyone because it’s just not worth anything, and it’s darn heavy
Brian’s is almost ready to sell. His is expected to sell in 3-4 weeks though, whereas mine isn’t expected to sell for 3-4 months. We’ll be meeting with the realtor this week or next to start looking at houses in Chantilly. There are a few nice ones online in our price range, so we’ll see how they look IRL.
If we can get all this selling and buying out of the way before the wedding, we’ll be in good shape because then we don’t have to worry about it - just come home form Toyko and be “home”.
