Weekend fun

Brian finally saw the Phantom of the Opera at the Kennedy Center on Saturday. We checked for track work first this time, and are really glad, because the shuttle train was running to Springfield, so we parked at Huntington. The blue trains were running to Huntington, so it still ended up being one train to Foggy Bottom and back.

We met up with Francis for Korean BBQ for dinner – We went to Cho’s Garden in Fairfax, and opted for the “sampler” plate, and it was excellent. I even enjoyed the meat, but some of the side dishes were a bit too hot for me.

Then we played quite a bit of Lego Star Wars (I) before heading to bed. The pod racing level *really* sucks, it took us about 15 times each level to actually pass it. But we finally did, and at that point, it was bedtime.

Sunday consisted of a lot of shopping, and then we cooked an excellent dinner of NY Strip (we wanted lamb, but the Giant didn’t have any). Somewhere in there, we hung a set of curtains in Brian’s basement (black-out curtains), and played some more Lego SW. We’re now near the beginning of Episode 2. I don’t think it’s as fun as Lego SW 2, but it’s mostly enjoyable.
