This weekend, Brian and I finally made it out to King’s Dominion. I had a good time, but Brian didn’t feel so well after I got him on the Firefall (it spins - a lot), and unfortunately, that carried over to the rest of the day. He did ride every roller coaster with me, but sat out some of the more spinny rides. It’s not Cedar Point, but Volcano and Firefall were worth the trip
Their wild mouse coaster (Ricochet) was also a lot of fun. We spent way too much on water and food, but the water was a good thing for us. We even tried to buy dippin’ dots, but every time we got to someplace selling it, it was either closed, or they didn’t have the smaller size. No dippin’ dots for us.
Last night, we went to see Loreena McKennitt, and it was awesome. I had bought the tickets for Brian for his birthday back in March, and I’m glad to report that he enjoyed it as well
Plans for Scotland are coming along - I’ve got our transportation within the country arranged, as well as a few hostels/B&B’s reserved - including the castle, which I’m really looking forward to. The only thing I still need to reserve is our train tickets to the castle, but to do so online, I need to have a UK address. So, I just need to be coherent enough early in the morning to call and make the reservations. The other option is buying the tickets in Edinburgh as soon as we arrive.
I’m really excited about the trip
