Home Again, Home Again…
I spent most of this week out of town for work, and then I get absolutely no actua work done today at the office because of all the meetings. Granted, the meetings constitute “work” since the client pays for my time, but still, I don’t feel like I accomplished anything useful today. I also have realized that there’s not enough time in the next week to get everything done that needs to be done and still work 40 hours next week. I have a feeling I’ll be staying late at work tomorrow and maybe coming in on the weekend as well.
Stress is normally a good thing in my life, but there’s only so much taht one person can take. Luckily, no meetings are planned for tomorrow, so I should be able to get a lot of work done
And I can pass off one portion of what needs done to one of the other guys in the office. The big thing is two computer systems validation plans, and in order to even work on them/do them, you have to have completed training. My boss and I completed it last year, my office mate completed part of it earlier this year. I’m hoping that’s “official” enough to let him at least work on it under my supervision.
Business class on Amtrak is not worth the money, FYI – maybe on the Accela or metroliner, but not on the typical regional service – you get a free drink at the cafe car and that’s about it, nothing special about the seats, so don’t bother
Oh yeah, I might be going to Paris for a week for work, so if anyone’s interested in getting together – let me know – I’m pretty sure I’ll be sent – just not sure when.
