Fifty Fifty Book Challenge

Another book finished: The Skystone by Jack Whyte. Interesting reading. This is the first book in a series of Arthurian “pre-history”. It’s about a smith, turned soldier, who returns to being a smith who finds a “skystone” (aka meteor) like his grandfather. There is a lot more politics going on in the background though. He and his friend are roman soldiers (one a Legate, the smith a Centurion) in about 360-380 A.D. As far as I understand it, these books go through the circumstances that allowed Arthur to pull the sword out of the stone and become “king”. The books are by no means historical, but fiction, and are definately an entertaining read.
