New Treo 650
As some of you may have figured out, I’m attempting to set up a moblog on my wordpress log. Unfortunately, the way my phone sends pictures (Sprint PictureMail) is a little unique. I found SprintPhoto. It uses a hacked version of wp-mail.php to read e-mail sent to a “special” address. I send a picture to that email address, and it gets pulled down to the local system and added into an entry. I haven’t figured out the cron job yet, and it didn’t work, so until then, I just need to visit wp-mail.php manually and update the site.
The pictures are coming off of my new Treo 650. Michael got one, and I loved the concept of having my phone and my palm in one, so I blew the money on it. So far, it’s been great. My boss gave me a Bluetooth headset and USB adapter, so I can sync via bluetooth, as well as use the handsfree operation. Michael and I can also send files, applications, and data via Bluetooth to each other.
I had some initial fun getting all of my old Palm data synced to it, but I finally did, and I installed TealScript so I can graffiti. I can still graffiti faster than I can use the keyboard, but I’m getting used to it.
I also have the Bluetooth DUN patch installed on it, so I can use it as a modem to connect with my laptop
Eventually, I might try the Wi-Fi patch, but I’m not that brave yet – it requires a hard reset.
