Weight Stays the Same, Clothes get Bigger
I’ve had a disappointing few months on the weight loss front lately. Since April, I’ve weighed at or around 144-145lbs. I’m still following the Weight Watchers plan continuously, and I think things are just getting stale. I’ve gone back to measuring all of my food, and trying not to use my flex points. I also joined the gym, and while I haven’t been going that long, I hope that it’ll be enough to “push” me over this pleateau that I seem to be stuck on.
On the other hand, my size 10 pants are slowly getting larger on me. They’re uncomfortably large in my waist, but fitting just on the lose side in my butt and thighs. Not loose enough to try to squeeze into an 8 though. I don’t mind not losing pounds as long as I lose the “chub” around my lower body.
The trainer took my measurements to put into the computer system, and they really show how out of proportion I am. I made a nice little chart including my measurements before I started Weight Watchers (from sewing measurements):
| Area | Old meas. | New meas. |
|---|---|---|
| Chest(under breasts) | 38″ | 32″ |
| Waist | 34″ | 29″ |
| Hips | 48″ | 40″ |
Nice numbers if you ask me
Unfortunately, my waist and hips haven’t quite lost at the same rate, they’re more in proportion than they used to be, but still more out of proportion than most of the jeans on the market.
The trainer also measured my upper arm and my thigh – my thigh is almost as big around as my waist
only 8″ difference. I wonder if the resistance training he’s having me do will at least tone and define those muscles so that they appear smaller
