Knowing myself, if I don’t just put up the new weblog, I’ll never get around to it because that one last thing just doesn’t work right. So I went ahead and put it up. I know that trackbacks are having issues, but if anything else you see seems to be having problems, let me know.
All of the Moveable Type entries and comments have been imported into Wordpress, so you won’t miss anything.
The permalink structure may change in the near future once I get mod_rewrite working properly so that I can get rid of the /index.php/ part of the permalink, so if you want to use a permalink, send me an e-mail and I’ll notify you when they change (if ever)
There are also a host of things I want to do to Wordpress that I either haven’t found a decent plugin for or don’t have the knowledge/time to write my own. Things like my book reviews, and the separate pages for the Books, Restaurant, and Movies Reviews, but you can access those pages by using http://weblog.elwing.org/elwing/index.php/archive/category/category name where category name is one of:
There are a few other things I also want to work on - converting the other weblogs to Wordpress as well, and looking at various plugins to cache the content so that the weblog doesn’t take so long to load.
