Kid gets suspended for using net send
This article spells out the plight of an eigth grader who used DOS’s old net send command to send “hey!” to his school’s 80 computers. He was suspended for three days.
According to one of the teachers involved, he was “hacking”. This action in no way meets any of the definitions of “hacking” or even of cracking. No suprise that the school district was in Texas. My school certainly didn’t have much in the way of computer knowlegde.
If kids can’t learn at school, I’m not sure that I want to be sending my kids there in the first place.

Hey im in year 10 and today i send a “net send” to my teacher’s computer saying “your computer has a virus. please shutdown” and she beleived it!!! hahahaha
